MacBook Pro 15” 2018 USB-C port smells like burn

Yesterday I bought my refurbished MacBook Pro, it was refurbished by apple. It is a 15” model mid 2018.

I charged the MacBook one time without a problem. The second time I want to charge it I smell a burn and directly took the original charging cable out of the MacBook. The MacBook shot down immediately.

after some minutes I want to power on the MacBook and it was working fine. Only the battery lost a huge amount of capacity and was empty after several minutes. Charging won’t change a thing because the USB ports are not working anymore, they are all 4 dead. Also a original charger of a friend isn’t working anymore.

I can’t do any reset now because the battery is completely empty. Does someone know what the problem is?

I would return it for one that works.
