Hola Buenos días soy de Costa Rica y viajo a USA en diciembre específicamente a Orlando Florida quisiera cambiar mi actual iPhone XR por un IPhone 12 pero por medio del trade-in(intercambio) quisiera saber si puedo hacerlo en el momento de estar allá (en la tienda) o debo hacer otro trámite como enviar mi teléfono antes para una revisión. Gracias por la ayuda

The ability to do the trade-in at the Apple Store would be dependent on the current stock at that time, especially close to the Christmas holiday. If you are willing to gamble on that, you can certainly try. I would try going to the Apple website close to the time that you are going to go to Orlando, and check the online orders and a pickup at the Orlando Store. That should help you determine if it would be possible.
