Damaged logic board of MacBook Air

The logic board of my 13 month MacBook Air 2020 just went toast. What’s really astounding is that it happened not even a month after its warranty expired. This is really weird since the reason I bought a MacBook was because of its high reliability but now I gotta spend a hefty amount just to get it replaced. Any reasons as to why it would happen?

  • Water damage
  • Sudden shock due to dropping
  • Use in an environment with condensing humidity
  • Electric shock
  • Manufacturing error
  • Overheating
  • ...

There are many possible reasons. It needs to be inspected in order to try to find the reason.
