Why does my iPhone 12 automatically start playing my audible books when I connect to Bluetooth in the car. It used to happen with iTunes every time so I deleted iTunes. If after I stop the player, it randomly starts up again. Very frustrating! How do I disable autoplay.

I did not think about checking the car settings as I thought autoplay was phone setting. My vehicle manual shows this setting and indicates that it is on by default; however, when I follow the instructions to change the setting, it is the only menu setting that doesn't show up (contrary to the manual). So, I think your answer is correct, but I can't actually change the setting.
