I just got my iPhone 13 Pro Max last night and all my outdoor photos are oversaturated, look fake, and I can't find a way to edit the HDR layers or even turn HDR off. The only solution is to turn down the saturation, but they still look fake, just less saturated.
Am I missing a setting?

Hi, this won’t help. I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure it out, switching between photographic styles and there’s no way to avoid the fake colors and lights.
Please apple!! We need to be able to turn off hdr!

Yah, the zoom shot is using the 3x optical zoom Len. No further digital zoom.
i think Apple camera AI algorithm acting too smart.
That's why Apple offers ProRAW and allows third party camera apps direct access to the sensor; if you don't like what it does, there are ways to avoid it, but it will take more work.
Yes, to zoom in on a picture taken with the wide lens you’ve just digitally zoomed into the picture.
It’s always going to look horrible.
Night mode will always do what it can to make a good photo out of a limited amount of light; it's not a miracle, it's processing.
Just looks are in different way.
That’s why you have 14 days after purchase to make that decision for yourself.
Personally I think that shot looks fantastic though saturation could be higher and shadows darker.
That's by design, it's how most people want their photos to look today.
Fair enough that some people like the enhanced colours but for those of us who would like the photo to look realistic colorise what phone should we buy? Does the iPhone 12 still have saturated reds?
I 100% agree. I took my iPhone 13 back today. But I am stuck as to what phone to buy. I love to take sunrise photos and iPhone 13 did not produce photos I could use.
Yes ! i despise the over saturation it looks so fake ppl have commented that i've photoshopped pictures when they were 100% untouched

Same boat ...i hate the fake over saturated look. I've researched for a solution and there isn't one - so much cash for such a disappointment
