Is the desktop of your Mac purple or a similar color to what you're seeing? If so, you may have noticed the transparency in Safari. By default, Safari and other apps in Mac have transparent elements, which will pick up and blur the windows and backgrounds behind them.
If you go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Display, then check the box next to "Reduce Transparency" does the issue continue? Make it easier to see what’s on the screen of your Mac.
