Is the iOS 14.8 update strictly for security. My phone has been recently working different than last month. When viewing a video with the phone in the upright position and turn the phone horizontal to get a full picture, video does not change.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand that your screen won't rotate when turned and when saying "question" the word question is typed out. We're happy to provide some assistance.

When using Dictation, it is expected behavior for the word "question" to type out instead of the question mark. Try saying "question mark" instead.

With regards to your screen not rotating, does this occur with all videos or specific videos? See if screen orientation lock is turned on:
