As of today, Apple Support chat says it will be with me in two minutes. I've been waiting fifteen. Not sweet.

Again, if they're going to SAY I'll be connected in two minutes, but I'm not in more than half an hour, it's BROKE. I go there to get advice about fixing things. Who do I go to to get advice about how to fix Apple Support?
If you are referring to this post regarding the power button, https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253179534 you also have the option if you have an Apple Store close by to have it checked there as well. If the chat won't work, then try just calling them on the phone.
I'm sorry it isn't working, but as you were told, we are not Apple employees and have no control over their response. While I understand your frustration, I can say that a queue may tell you it should be a couple of minutes, they don't have control over how long someone remains connected and trying to fix their problem either. You can share that feedback with Apple if/when they connect, but unfortunately, sharing your answer with us cannot fix the situation.
I'm sorry to hear about the delay you are facing in contacting Apple Support.
Apple Support can get busy at certain times, this means the wait may occasionally be longer than normal but please be assured, you are in a queue to be connected to a friendly, helpful advisor as soon as possible.
This is a user-to-user forum, we are volunteers and not employees of Apple, we might be able to help with your issue here if you can explain it in further detail. Please remember not to include any personal details in your response.
That question was posted here by me several days ago. The best response I got was to go to Apple Support. That's precisely what I'm trying to do. I am no longer asking for an answer from Apple Support Communities. That sun set a long time ago.
I'm trying to tell you is sounds like a hardware issue, that is why Apple Support was recommended. I offered you other options to contact Apple Support or to visit an Apple Store. I hope that you are able to get your device working again.
Sorry, but no, you did not offer me other options to get to Apple Support. Where you told me to go is where I wasted most of an hour. I could call them, but I'd probably just be put on hold for a long time. They do not accept e-mail queries, which is kinda dumb.
Look, the only useful thing I got from communities here is to try to go to Apple Support. I got that advice several days ago, and I thank you all for that. What I'm saying here, over and over again, is that I've tried, and it doesn't work. I know what I have to do, and we're not making any progress here, so I think it's time to just drop it, unless you have anything useful to tell me.
After the arrival of iOS 15, they are probably swamped. Perhaps if you tell us about your problem, one of our valuable helpers may be able to help you solve your problem.
Well,, if they're going to say two minutes, taking more than twenty is pretty ugly.
I already posted my problem here, and the best answer was to ask Apple Support, which I am trying to do.
I give up. Apple Support chat is just BROKE.
In case you hadn't noticed, it's Sunday so they may be understaffed as well as swamped! Try again later....
You can go to Apple Support by clicking on Get Support at upper right corner of any forum page.
Um, that puts me right back where I was. I KNOW how to get there. The problem is that nobody picks up.
