Are Apple going to rectify the problems with iPadOS 15 Update. The blank margins on the Home Screen are annoying. What is the point of having a wide area of the screen not being occupied.

I am NOT running nor planning to install iPadOS 15 any time soon!

As far as I am concerned, so far, iPadOS 15 is a hot steaming mess, right now, and maybe throughout the year!

I have not upgraded three full iOS/iPadOS versions on any of my devices, in thr past, prior to iPadOS 14, last year.

The ONLY reasons I did so was better external drive integration, improved multitasking and more integrated support for the Pencil which I purchased immediately after upgrading to iPadOS 14.

For the past 4 years prior, I had been using the Adonit Pixel stylus, which I will still use on ocassions.

I have NO problems totally sitting out an entire iPadOS version for a year, IF I think an iOS/iPadOS version is complete garbage and just changes for changes sake.

Search online for Home screen images of iPadOS 15.

Also, you'll see this issue in iPadOS YouTube videos.

You'll see the larger side margins on the Home screen.

I was curious, so I put a ruler diagonally on both my 9.7 and 11” iPad Pros showing the home screen after updating to the latest iOS - the illuminated stuff minus the smallish black “bezel” and the both measured exactly as advertised. There is no difference from iOS 14 that I can tell. I did delete the widgets right after upgrading - I find them superfluous.

Okay, thanks for the information. I'll check it out. I don't think I'm seeing this on my home screen. I have a 2018 iPad Pro 11".

EDIT: Guess I wasn't seeing this because I only keep a few apps on each page, and rarely use portrait mode. At first I was imagining black margins on the screen like there was a resolution problem. I appreciate your help on this.
