When I plug the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter into my iPad it frequently says Not Charging. I then have to unplug and use the regular iPad charger. Adaptor also has HDMI connecting to desktop, which works. I've tried two adaptors, same thing happens with both. Anyone found a fix for this?

When using that adapter are you connecting the adapter directly into your iPad, or using a charging cable with the USB-C port to connect your iPad, as described at About the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter? If you reverse the connection does the behavior continue? Also, what power source is the charging side of this configuration connected to when you observe that message?
