When I text my daughter & her details change in front of me to my neighbours info & he gets the text message

When I try to send an iMessage to my daughter it fails to send, I then send as a text message only it now gets sent to my neighbour across the road!!! WTF! Her profile pic at the top changes to his!!! And he now replies to my text of which I was sending to my daughter to my phone - lucky we get on with our neighbours 🤪 His phone number is not even remotely like my daughters number. I have even deleted his contact details from my phone just now along with our conversation history, sent a test message to my daughters number & he answered! And no he has not kidnapped my adult daughter as she is in the house with me.

Why & how is this even remotely possible!! I am extremely concerned!!! HELP

Hello JaffaBundy1967,

From what we understand you're having trouble sending text messages to your daughter as expected.

Just to confirm, is this happening with more than one device when sending text to your daughter?

Is this happening with SMS text (green text bubbles) and iMessages?

Have you tried toggling iMessage off and back on again to see if that helps?
