No power on my mini ipad

I’ve been to Apple and they have informed me the iPad is dead and won’t power up. I have sold it for parts but I need to erase all personal data on it… it’s my daughter’s and has lots a photos to delete and possible Apple ID on it

is it possible to erase contents

If the iPad is dead - and will not power-on or boot - it is impossible to erase the contents.


Whilst this may initially be of concern, perhaps consider that iPad utilises an encrypted file-system. Unless the device can boot - and the correct Passcode is entered - all data remains encrypted and inaccessible.
