iPhone 13 notification sound too low

I got my iPhone 13 3 days ago, after using it for 2 full days, I realized that the notification sound is way too low. It applies to WhatsApp, iMessage, email etc. Even though I set all volume to the loudest; and googled how to fix it online then tried everything posted on the internet but still didn't improve.

I changed from iPhone XR to iPhone 13, but my iPhone XR with iOS 14 was perfectly fine, the notification sound was very loud with no issue at all.

Hi Joey_Chan_HK,

From your post, it sounds like the notification sound on your iPhone 13 is low. Let's try the steps mentioned here: Adjust the volume on iPhone - Apple Support

Do you have Do Not Disturb enabled? Have you checked each app's settings individually to make sure that notifications are set correctly? Do you have a Bluetooth device connected to the iPhone? If so, let's double check to make sure the audio isn't being pushed to the Bluetooth device.

Take care.

Yes me too. Thank goodness I thought it was just me. I took delivery of an iPhone 13 Pro a few days ago and have all the problems noted. I’ve tried all the google ‘fixes’ but of course non of them work because it’s not a case of just pushing the slider up a bit. The ringtone and notifications SHOULD have separate volume controls or at least have them in sync!

The volume is on maximum and whilst the ringtone rattles the windows the notifications of email, messenger and Facebook can only be heard by the dog!! Even turning on ‘key clicks’ (only to test!) is really, really quiet.

That’s €1,200 for a great camera but a phone with serious flaws!! Version iOS 15.0.2 hasn’t fixed it either.

In comparison my iPhone 8 Plus was perfect in comparison.

Time to get a grip Apple and sort this problem. DON’T just grab the money and run.

just received this from apple support, first time they contact me and its to ask me to not go on rants! So funny!!!

I ask you person on the Apple cloud why should I not be able to rant about problems you fail to resolve? I have spent hours trying to figure out what the issue is and the problem has no solution! Yet You Apple Cloud Man! Find it offensive that a customer that purchased 4 Iphone Pro Max with 1T of storage, is troubled because he keeps missing important appointments, texts and emails and you Apple don’t seem to care about a huge flaw.

yes!!! I rant Yes I’m extremely upset yes I read the notification and try what others are trying to see if there is a solution.

It's going on over two months trying to fix your broken system and no solution, and No,,,No!!! I’m not going to use the emergency alarm tone for my text and notifications…

I’m almost sure your iPhone 8 has this issue too. Since iOS 14 all iPhones behave like this. I also have an iPhone 8 with this notification volume problem.

Then I got the 12 mini with the same volume bug. In one year I’ve tested every iPhone in malls, Apple stores and friends and all of them have this issue.

I sent more than 20 feedbacks to Apple via feedback app and they didn’t fix it.

It’s ridiculous for a $800 device which is primarily a PHONE. New emoji’s, cool features, super power chip and camera lenses but no separate volume slide for notifications. I’m tired of it and I’m going to sell my iPhone, get rid of the ecosystem and buy another brand.

I had the impression that brand new iphone models were flawless and the old devices updated to the new ios had bugs that weren't fix until ios x.1 or even x.2. That doesn't apply anymore sadly, one can buy a brand new year phone with bugs now.

Android is not different in that aspect, as far as i remember i gott an os update once per year even 2 and that's all, and when they were realized they slowed the phone considerably.

I was thinking about reinstalling ios 13.0.2 once more time but i think it is pointless until ios 13.1 is released...

1300€ they ain’t peanuts. For such money you buy a device that at least has all the basic and primary functions a PHONE should have and then all the cool features and hardware that comes around. With Apple is the opposite. You buy a super device with a long list of super cool technological features and at the bottom of this long list, it works also as a phone but with some bugs.

“I missed a very important message for a job but who cares, look at these beautiful pictures I can take with this device!”
