iPadOS15 Safari and keyboard

Have just installed this.

Safari. When I open safari I get a row of small images of webpages across the bottom of the screen. These are ones I have visited before but are not open now. I have cleared my history but they still appear. Can anyone tell me why they are there and how to delete them?
keyboard. My keyboard has become slow to respond and some of the keys make a very sharp sound - almost like corn popping. Why is this happening?

Not impressed so far. Was quite happy with the way things were working before.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks for that screenshot. If you close the app with the steps here:

Close an app on your iPad

Then restart your iPad using the steps in this link:

Restart your iPad

Does the issue return? Test to verify and let us know.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand you have some concerns related to changes that appeared on your iPad after updating. We’ll be happy to help.

For the sounds with your iPad keyboard, go to Settings > Sounds and look if Keyboard Clicks is enabled. If it is, turn it off and see if that resolves the issue.

As for the concerns with Safari, it sounds like these may be bookmark icons. Take a look at this article for more info on these and see if this seems to be what these are:

Thanks for this. I don’t think it is bookmarks, as several of the icons/thumbnails are captioned as Start Screen, see attached screen shot, and I only have three tabs open, none of which are those shown.

The keyboard issue seems to have resolved itself. It was very weird, some of the clicks were much louder than others and in a random pattern.
