My apple TV is not connecting to the internet

I have tried all of the suggestions to hook up apple TV to the internet except use an ethernet connection. Apple TV was working previously and has recently stopped connecting. It will not update without a connection. Any ideas?

If your Apple TV can't connect to Wi-Fi - Apple Support

↳ Restart your Apple TV, router, and modem

Often the issue is with the router, and often that can be fixed with a restart.

If you go to Settings﹥Network﹥, does it say connected?

Does it get a local IP address? 192.168.x.x is very common. 169.254.x.x would be a red flag (self assigned, not connectable).
