Weird word magnified on Apple Books pdf

When I try to highlight a sentence on Apple Books on a pdf that I imported occasionally it will magnify one word and keep that word in the same part of the screen forever. I can’t figure out what feature this is or how to get rid of the word. In this case its “Be-“. What the **** is going on lol.

Apple Books highlighting bug -- no way to inform Apple, what should I do? Hello Ever since Books was invented, it has had this bug where you can't continue an existing highlight, sporadically but very frequently. I run across it literally every book I read. Preview Bug - highlighted text is not saved when closing PDF despite saving changes This bug is random but I find it that there are times when I highlight texts in the pdf, I save the changes, quit preview, and when I reopen the pdf some highlights are gone.
