I have 3 Mac Pros that I want to link together in order to boost its performance when the other two (or just one) aren't being utilized. This concept was seen at ILM when they had stacks of Mac Pros and would do the same thing. How can I go about achieving this?

I doubt you will be able to do this for general performance.
If you do something like this it would be with a specific program that shares the load for that specific program between several computers.
