External DisplayPort monitor periodically wakes up when connected to a system running Big Sur which is sleeping

I am having the same issue oil my MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon running Big Sur 11.5.2 and my LG 32UD60-B and LG 32UD59-B monitors connected via DisplayPort (I use a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter on a CalDigit TS3 Plus dock (although using other USB-C to DisplayPort adapters exhibits the same problem, so I don't think the problem is due to the CalDigit dock). These same monitors worked properly on an Intel MacBook Pro running earlier releases of OS X.

I have filed a bug with Apple a few months ago but have not heard anything. I talked with a friend of mine that used to work in the Apple kernel group and he told me that Apple ignores bug reports unless the bug affects many people. I'm not sure how many people constitute "many" but I surely see a lot of people on this forum that havre the same problem which seems to be a bug with the Big Sur DisplayPort driver.

I have gone through a lot of the workarounds described here and in other forum points but the bottom line is that my monitor still periodically wakes up when the MacBook Pro is sleeping.

I'm at my wits end with this and would like some advice as to how to get Apple's attention to this bug.
