My volume for my new iPhone 13 pro is horrible through the speakers and I can barely hear anything including button clicks like when I am typing this out. It’s very sad that such an expensive device has such crappy sound and apparently this has been going on for awhile with other models of the phone.

Hey so this happened to me as well and I was very upset because I wanted to really blast music on my speakers.
Well, I was looking into it and decided to check every sound setting in my iPhone. Turns out that the new iOS has a feature called “Headphone Safety” which somehow makes speakers lower their volume.
This is, in my opinion to reduce sound damage to your ears.
If this is not the problem for you then it might actually be a software problem but this fixed it for me.
I just purchased my iPhone 13 pro max a couple of days ago and I’m also having a problem with phone cal volume and key tap sounds. Sometimes it’s working okay and sometimes I can’t hear the key taps at all and the phone call volume is to low and I keep hitting the volume up but with no response. Tech support wasn’t able to help resolve it and recommended return or exchange it.
Same issue here on both new iPhone 13s. everything it turned up and have tried all the “tricks”. My old XR was much louder when talking on speaker phone
I’m experiencing the same thing this morning. Can’t hear anything on my iphone 13, and it’s on full blown volume.
I too have the 13pro and the speaker sounds muffled . Thought it was me but google showed me other wise. This phone is wayyy to expensive for this.
I am having the same issue with my IPhone 13 Pro Max. I recently upgraded from the XR and when I talk on the speaker phone it is horrible. The iPhone XR speaker works loads better!
hmm Rio - is this a prank? Telling the phone to play rain sounds when it hears background sounds at 100% makes the speaker louder for the speaker call? do you hear rain also during your call?
The mono is sort of interesting - like perhaps the iphone is only using left or right during a phone call since probably the phone voice info is mono..
The sound on my new IPhone 13Pro is terrible~! Do I need to turn something on that is in settings ~? I have not been able to figure this out~! Poor quality ~! I am very disappointed in this phone for that reason. I have only owned iPhones ~! First one I have been disappointed in.

Are we going to get answers to our questions IPhone ~? Or you have no answer ~? The volume is terrible on my iPhone 13Pro, I have never had a problem with all of my other iPhones over the years~! Just tell me whether something can be done or NOT~!!!!!

I have the same problem. I am new to iPhones having moved from a Sony Xperia 1 so when I bought a brand new iPhone I decided I would buy the most expensive one they make. The iPhone Pro 13 Max with a large amount of storage, I also took out a 2 year insurance on the iPhone and 2 years of Apple support. I will say that I am quite impressed at how Apple have the ability to take over your phone remotely.
I asked how do I make my iPhone default to speaker phone ? as a disability question.
I have Multiple Sclerosis but no problems with my hearing.
Personally it I don't think hard enough about Accessibility & Disability because I find I have to scrabble about turning the speaker on. Apple support acknowledged that It might be something Apple consider in there one of their software updates.

The speakers on my iPhone 13Pro are terrible I can hardly hear and I have no problems with my hearing. While watching videos I can barely hear.

There is issues in the volume, when make maximum volume , sound become very irritated. Not able to under the play audio in phone 13. Just two month ago
