CAC Readers with M1 Chip Macbooks

Has anyone been able to successfully get onto DOD websites using a CAC reader with Macs that have the M1 chip? I have the 2020 Macbook Air using OS BigSur (11.5). I know that my smart card reader works and that I have all of the correct certificates installed, I just can't get through to the websites.

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

I can on an M1 Mini.

I have better luck using private mode so it always asks for the certificate each time.

What errors or other issues do you see when you try?

Did you ever install any software to use your reader with your Mac?
