HOWEVER: users report that using multiple high-resolution external displays causes the fans in this model to run on high, unless you take additional steps such as using Turbo Boost switcher to disable Turbo Boost.

"4K" is nominally 3480 by 2160 for TV and consumer media purposes, according to wikipedia.

Note that your built-in display is close to that resolution already.
