Shuffling through screensaver folder photos
i have a friend with a macbook pro and he can shuffle through his screensaver pictures with his arrows on the keyboard. can someone teach me how to set this up?

Sorry, we can't.
This used to work in previous versions of macOS, but maybe in Catalina this was changed, and pressing the arrow keys exists the screen saver.
All any of us can do is use feedback and ask Apple to bring back the old behavior:

Switch to the folder (or Desktop) containing your screenshot images. Select one of these images, and press the space bar. This invokes Quick Look on the first image, and from there, you can use your arrow keys to view the other screenshot images.
