Sorry to resurrect an old issue, but this still seems to be a problem
I have received mails WITH simple pdf attachments that do NOT show the attachments in the iOS Mail app. The attachments DO show in other Mail apps though
I also have Mail with attachments that DO show in the app
Has anyone ever got to the bottom of this!?

From what we gather you're having a hard time viewing some attachments in iOS Mail.
Just to confirm, are these attachments not displaying at all or are the attachments embedded in the email?
We ask because it can be expected for the attachments to be embedded and not shown as separate attachments.
If this is not the case, does this happen with multiple email accounts?
Are you able to confirm checking your web-based account using a web browser?
Would it be possible to remove the email account and add it back to test?

Are you running the most updated version of iPadOS?
You can also try reinstalling the Mail app to see if that helps.

I’m seeing the same behaviour on TWO iPads and TWO iPhones. Always tg3vsame messages are “missing” attachments
which leads me to think this is a Mail app bug NOT something specific to one device
i am running the latest iOS 14 version
Understood. When you have the opportunity, please try the steps we suggested above. This includes updating and reinstalling the Mail app to test.

The attachments appear at the bottom of the message when they DO appear. They are just not consistent
Yes, I can view the attachments from a web Mail browser, it seems to be just iOS that is challenged
And it’s happening to multiple mail accounts…..
Ive tried inactivating and reactivating accounts - this makes no difference
Im at a loss to provide any more helpful information as I can’t detect any pattern

I have five mail accounts defined. If I delete and reinstall the app, I assume I’ll have to recreate all five of them?
Im not really prepared to do that when I’m 99% certain it won’t help
How do I update/reinstall the Mail app? I thought it was part of iOS??
