How do I turn off the music in Photos memories? iOS 15

We’d love to assist with this and the best way to do this is to leave feedback to Apple or use nature sounds or the similar. At the present time removing the music entirely is not an option that Apple offers.

The best workaround I found is to upload to iMovie, put volume of the audio to 0 in settings, then save as new movie. Really annoying workaround but here we are.

I'm way late to this party, but I ended up creating a 10 minute long "song" that's just silence. I did it in Ableton, but you can probably do it in GarageBand, too. I added that to the Music app and set that as the soundtrack for all of my slideshows. I don't understand why the music isn't opt-in.

I would suggest searching for ‘Silence’ on Apple Music. Simple, but effective!

I think this response was written by some bad ML. You would think the feature would actually observe the music I listen to instead of selecting music that is the complete opposite of anything I ever listen to, ever!

I did find a solution, btw. Turning the volume all the way down does actually work. Horribly, if your ringer is off, that does not work (quite the rude shock when it's late and super quiet at home).

But they’re not …….as has already been pointed out numerous times in this discussion. If you want this feature to change you need to use the Feedback link to bring to Apple’s attention.

But…I’ll say it again….if you want to watch your memories without music, just mute the volume!!!!

If you want silence mute the volume.

Just turning the volume right down isn’t likely to be beyond anyones technical ability.

Apparently, you aren’t allowed to be annoyed by this change in function and the the thought police delete any negative comments. I’m sorry I offended the Apple overlords.

Perhaps rather than edit negative feedback out of the loop, you can listen to the feedback and restore the “none” function on the music in the Photo Memories.

I hate the idea of not be able to turn off the music in memories. I have my own recorded music with my photos and would love to hear it, not some music over the top!

Please get the non music choice back asap!

Exactly, I was shocked when I found out they removed this option. Very very disappointing Apple. I cannot use this app anymore, I want to hear my own recordings not some background music! It was for me a perfect app, fast, precise en effortless. Now it is useless for me. Please correct this failure with the next update.

The best answer to this issue is the very first one given. You need to use the Product Feedback link to tell Apple that you’re not happy. There’s no-one from Apple on this forum to read these comments.

The worst! I can’t believe this is not an option. I can pick music but can’t select no music? Makes no sense. Comeon
