Welcome to the Apple Community, and thank you for your input.
It seems wise to always keep a back-up of anything you value, from any computer, or device.
EG: In Messages on Mac there are Settings for choosing how long to keep message conversations in your account.
For example, if you choose 30 Days, your conversations (and all attachments) are available in Messages for 30 days.
After that, they are automatically removed. (NB: You can choose to keep message conversations "Forever")
Some of us immediately save photos we receive in messages elsewhere.
If your iPhone messages and any attachments are stored in iCloud, you may have more free space on your iPhone.
As we are all Apple users here, like yourself, Apple won't read your request.
