How to use Apple Private Relay email credentials for new app account credentials?

When an app on iOS asks us to create an account, iOS offers to use Apple Private Relay instead of our real email address for the email field. A password is suggested but this password is not saved anywhere that I can find - not in the keychain. The email address is saved inside iCloud Settings on iOS but there is no password with it and that email address is hard to find on macOS.

What is the proper flow for iOS and macOS users to take advantage of Apple Private Relay when signing up for new accounts, that require email address and a password, on iOS devices?
