I have several manual on my iPad. Some are saved in Books, others in Files and a few in both.
Which place makes more sense? What is the advantage of each? If they are in both, am I taking up twice the space?
Not really a difference. Books will allow you to read like a book, turn pages, and add bookmarks. Files will just let you scroll from top to bottom. Only differences of which I'm aware.
You can save them wherever you like. The place that makes the most sense is wherever it's more convenient for you; especially is you sync through iCloud. Yes, identical files in both places take up twice the space.
