What does "Live" mean in Find My iPhone?

Sorry still a bit confused to what that even means? I’m seeing it “real time” vs what is not real time?

And I’ve also noticed when you exit the person and you go to your contacts in findmy that share their location with you a person that is live when you click on them says as of 32 minutes for that same person. Does that mean that person has been there for 32 minutes or something else?

I am seeing a family member on “Find my” LIVE on both my iPhone and iPad, yet my wife cannot see that same family member LIVE”. If it’s on by default, shouldn’t it be the same on all devices in the family? If they’re listed as family members.

Why are some showing live and some not

Does it mean they’re using their phone?

How do you turn on the “live” feature on find my app?

I have noticed this too, but it doesnt refresh. For example, friend is showing 55 min ago in main screen, but ‘live’ when I click on them. There is no buffering or anything, no refresh. ?

So if the person is in a building or somewhere specific. Does the “live” mean he is moving within that same building?
