Only some devices show “live”. What does that mean??

you can see them driving or walking as it happens as they are doing, i think if theyre using their phone for directions it keeps up with where they are going but if they are in the same place for a long period of time it does not say "live". hope that helps
“Now” is static and is current the moment you checked someone’s location.
”Live” is dynamic and updated in realtime as you monitor someone’s location.

No. It doesn’t mean that the iPhone is in use. It just means that you are seeing the live location of the iPhone.

That all depends on which iPhone the other person is using and which iOS version the other person is using. This is a iOS 15 feature.

no, that means that you checked 32 minutes ago. give it a few seconds then it will reset with the current location

quick follow up question. There are different green blinking patterns when live. Does someone know what they mean? Sometimes it blinks slow like one quick blink and sometimes fast 2-3 blinks. What does it all mean?
And I’ve also noticed when you exit the person and you go to your contacts in findmy that share their location with you a person that is live when you click on them says as of 32 minutes for that same person. Does that mean that person has been there for 32 minutes or something else?
I am seeing a family member on “Find my” LIVE on both my iPhone and iPad, yet my wife cannot see that same family member LIVE”. If it’s on by default, shouldn’t it be the same on all devices in the family? If they’re listed as family members.
