Apparently im not the only one experiencing this. I hope this gets fixed soon! You can see the flicker clearly when taking a video as well

I know this post is older but I was able to figure this problem out. In the camera settings turn off "Auto Macro" at the bottom of the screen. That setting automatically switches to the Ultra Wide Camera to capture Macro Photos so it will make that jumping effect if it's turned on and something comes close to frame.
You're not writing Apple on this user to user only forum. You can avoid the camera changing during video recording in settings.
Settings > Camera > Record Video > Lock Camera
Boom, the camera will not switch while you are recording video
You also have to pick one:
The different camera lens is used to try to present a clear image when an object is too close to the other lens to focus on.
When you see the jump it means if you turn on "Lock Camera" at that point the image will start getting blurry because it is too close to focus on.

just purchased iphone 13 pro max with same issue. my video shakes violently at 1x and i constantly get an “undo” error when using phone. what’s the solve here?

this didn't work - and i have the camera flickering whether in video or taking a live photo.
Unfortunately, I have tried this and still have the same issue. I hear the lens almost clicking, video / image shakes.
My iPhone 13 pro is doings similar flickering thing when I take a photo or video of the train timetable. The actual view when seen by the eye is fine. The camera is recording a flicker
