How do I create a child account. We have followed all the steps finally got an account now it says his account is locked to recover the password then it says it doesn't exist.
We are just going around in circles.
He is 13 at the end of the year. The ipad is solely a school device.

I was trying to set it up via my PC. I dont have an apple device so had to create on via itunes on my PC. It created his child account but it kept failing after it worked it still said there was no account. I ended up signing into my account on his ipad and then created a child account. Kept failing at different points but eventually went all the way through and worked. Took hours!!
I followed Apples instructions on setting it up via a PC. It just keep saying failed at different steps. We have always had android and laptops but he needed an Ipad for school and being under 13 had to have a parents account to allow it. Who knew it would be so complicated.
Ah yes, that's implicit when it says iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. They don't explicitly state, "No PC."
