My wife iPhone doesn’t ring and the speaker and the home button doesn’t work. A home button show up on the main screen that works as a home button. Any ideas on what is wrong and what needs to be fix’s?

Hello ~ It sounds as if you may have assistive touch turned on…the button that looks like a home button on your screen but without a screenshot I cannot tell for sure. Look here and see if this is what you are seeing or send a screenshot:
Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the ringer and speaker are not working then perhaps you have the phone on silent mode so check this out:
