I updated my watch series 6 with the OS8 update and since then I cannot use dictation to reply to “Messages”. I have verified that Siri is on and my keyboard is good.
Can someone please help with this.
That still doesn't work. The fix is by clicking on the icon to the left that looks like a letter A and then clicking on the sound wave icon.

I just think this is completely unacceptable. I need to be able to access the auto voice button immediately
Agreed! A very cumbersome process. Bring the microphone button back!
Thank you, but that's still more cumbersome than before. Hopefully if enough people complain, Apple will restore that feature.
Totally agree that this new dictation method sucks. I used it all the time and now I just use voice texting on my phone. My IWatch will be ditched when it stops working😡
My microphone button on the bottom right isn’t working at all after the latest update. I tap it and nothing allows me to dictate into my watch. I’ve checked Siri, my keyboard too and still nothing.
That would record a voice message, not dictate to text.
Yes, please Apple switch back to the previous interface where the dictate voice to text was a single tap!
