iPhone 13 charging issue

I have an iPhone 13 that I got on launch day, it worked fine for a few days but recently it’s been acting up when charging, it will say that it’s plugged in but the percent won’t go up, it’ll just start dropping, it’s been happening for a few days now and it’s really frustrating as I basically can’t use my phone if it won’t charge. Is there any way to fix this? Is it a update issue? I’m on the recent iOS 15 update. Would I be able to return the phone to apple for a replacement or is this a common issue? I changed out the wires and confirmed they all work with my iPhone 5s

Hi aalex7764,

We understand your iPhone won't charge. We're happy to help.

You mentioned trying different cables, but we assume you used the same power adapter when testing that. If that is the case, you'll want to test out different power adapters to see if that is the cause. If you're using one of the old 5 watt Apple power adapters that used to come with iPhone up until a few years back, it may take a very long time to charge due to the small power output and larger battery size on modern iPhones. For an iPhone 13 you'd want to make sure you're using one of the newer USB-C style power adapters like the 18 watt or 20 watt mentioned here: About Apple USB power adapters You can also fast charge your iPhone as well: Fast charge your iPhone and iPad

If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge -- If the adapter wasn’t the issue, please work through the steps in this article.

Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple -- If you received your iPhone on September 24th, you can return your iPhone. "You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.” You can also scroll down until you see “Refunds” on the left for more information as well.

We hope this helps. Cheers!
