twitter notification soundproblem

Thanks for the update everyone. I had to reboot my iPhone 13 Pro and my apple watch and can confirm notifications for twitter are working. I now get a vibration if using my iPhone in silent mode and alternatively a notification sound on my apple watch if my Phone is locked. Hopefully this issue has been resolved for good.

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Are you getting notifications from your other devices? When did you first notice this issue? Also, have you restarted your iPhone since you first noticed this?

I have an IPhone SE, IPad Air Gen 3 & IPad Air Gen 4. On Nov 24 all 3 devices lost Twitter notification sound. I just get badges now. Definitely 100% a Twitter problem we will just have to wait for an update.

Yeah, I also think that this is indeed a Twitter problem (a server-side one). Reason: It also doesn't work on macOS and the last Twitter update for the Mac app was 2 weeks ago (so before last Monday (when the issue started for me)). It's a really strange issue. I've read reports of people where the sound suddenly came back without them updating anything. Hopefully, this issue gets fixed asap because it's really annoying.

Twitter Sound for notifications is now working on my IPhone SE. From this discussion someone posted that suddenly their sound was working. Mine still did not work, so I did a restart on my IPhone SE and bingo sound started working.

Twitter sent out an update today that fixed the issue.

Found a fix a lot of ppl not going to like it. For some reason or another we have been shadow ban or something of that sort. I actually have two twitter accounts one was for personal use the other was for exclusive drops like shoes, video games, etc… My personal account was the one I had the issue with, so what I did was turn on the notifications for my 2nd account and the notifications sound start working immediately and my personal account i can use but for some reason or another to this day still no sound

I also have the same issue with no sound notifications using the twitter app on iphone 13 Pro iOS 15.1.1 which started around Monday evening. Turned off focus in addition to deleting the work and personal focus options didn't seem to do anything. Twitter still silently delivers the messages and I can see the banners pop up and continue to accumulate messages until I manually check my phone and my watch (which mirrors my iPhone) for twitter messages. Deleted the twitter app and reinstalled it in addition to resetting all my iPhone settings and the issue still persists. Updated to the latest version of the twitter app yesterday evening and still no sound or vibration. Looks like most all the apps affected with this sound/vibration issue have the new option under notifications called "Time Sensitive Notifications" and even if I enable it and added an exemption to the focus allowed apps option or disable it nothing changes. All my other enabled apps that don't have the Time Sensitive notifications options seem to vibrate fine. Hopefully there is a fix for this soon.

I have same problem, seems no solutions for now. I’m sure the problem is from Twitter tho, I noticed the issue on my iPhone 12 Pro Max , tried all means but futile, then I decided to bring use my old phone iPhone 8 for just Twitter. Was utterly disappointed, same !!! No sound, just badges

Yes twitter automatically updated Monday around 9-10am and that’s when they notifications sound went away waiting on update

I’m also having the same issues with Twitter notifications. They appear on the lock screen and banner but silent. I’ve done everything from deleting the app, reinstalling it, signed out of my icloud, signed back in. I went to the istore and the technician was also baffled. I’ve updated software to 15.0.2. Even updated Twitter on App Store. This is quite annoying. Anyone knows how we can fix this???

I was having the same issue back in October. Notifications were silent. Then all of a sudden last week it was working again. Then all of a sudden since this morning it’s back to silent. Quite frustrating!!! Any solution to this problem?
