Apple Music iOS15. Resource unavailable
Anyone know how to resolve the “resource unavailable” error in Apple Music, using iOS15?
The old fixes no longer seem to work in iOS15.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities PharmTrooper,
From our understanding, since updating to iOS 15, you get an error message when you try to play music in the Music app, is that right? Apple recently released iOS 15.0.1, does this continues after updating to that iOS version?
Since noticing this issue, has the Music app been closed out completely and relaunched: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch.
Hope that helps!
I feel your pain. I as well am experiencing these issues. Apple store couldn’t resolve the issues so they replaced my device and to no avail I’m having the same issue, but worse. I’m now getting 3 different error messages. I’ll post some screen shots below.
That didn’t help. It seems like the only option working for people is to disable the lossless audio option. Apple already has an option to downgrade the audio quality while using cellular data, but lumps 5G into the WiFi option.
The error is occurring with Apple Music while trying to stream “Lossless” audio over a 5G network. Hopefully Apple can fix this, or allow an option to downgrade the audio while streaming from 5G separate from Wi-Fi.
I have been having the same issue since the update and switching the lossless toggle over. I turned it off. I still have the same issue. Apples only fix which wasn't guaranteed at this time was a total factory reset. Seems like a cop out. I can't stand when they release these iOS updates with unfixable bugs in them.
I’ve been having this issue too, I just tried turning off the higher quality streaming while on cellular and it’s helped, but I don’t want to have to continue to do this…. This makes buying the new iPhone 13 Pro Max a HUGE Mistake! I’m tired of not being to listen to my music on my daily commutes!
APPLE Please Fix This!
It’s not the iPhone 13. It’s IOS 15. My 12 ProMax does it since the upgrade to .01. I have had issues with Apple Music since the lossless update. I have a support ticket in on another issue that they couldn’t fix at that time. I am still waiting for that. Usually if you hit the back button the song will then play. I tried syncing again and that doesn’t work. Logging in and out doesn’t work. It’s an iOS bug.
In my case I’m only seeing this issue crop up when I’m on cellular. Both LTE & 5G seem to have a problem even though my speeds are at least 50mbps. YouTube doesn’t seem impacted. If anything I’ve noticed I encounter the issue less when I turned off iCloud Private Relay. Admittedly, though I wish I could keep the feature on. I just hate when ads follow me around.
i have the same thing or “An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to
the server cannot be made.”
very annoying/frustrating. how can we escalate this to apple for a bug patch? makes me want to switch providers when i’m driving and can’t have my music play
Yes! I’ve had those same errors, mostly the “resource unavailable” one.
it gets frustrating when I want to listen to music. Hope there’s a fix to this soon!
I am also having problems with Apple Maps, at times, it will just not work and it won’t let me search for places or destinations, it sucks, also makes the new phone purchase not to pleasant!
I have the same issue. And Apple support has been working on another issue where I can’t play individual songs or shuffle play. Both still occur even with the new update.
Same here but I don’t have 5g here.
If it makes you feel any better I have a 12 pro max and same thing.
I’m still on the beta for iOS 15 and Apple pushed a new release that fixes the issue. I expect everyone should get it soon.
