iOS 15.0.1. download problems

Hello,

I downloaded the iOS 15 update, which took forever, but have had no problems with it. Now the newer update iOS 15.0.1 will not download at all. I was always stuck on it verifying, so I would sleep and unlock the iPad as suggested on a help website but then it just sits on installing forever and doesn’t download. It also won’t download/install over night like it says it can.

Is anyone else having trouble downloading the newest update? Can anyone suggest a solution to help me fix this issue? My iPad is an iPad Pro 12.9 2017 512gb cellular.

I have the same problem on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2nd gen 256GB Cellular. Update to iOS 15 was fine. 15.0.1 gets stuck in verifying.

I already resetted the whole iPad but restored it from iCloud Backup, so I am not sure if I have maybe used a complete clean install.

I think it has an imbedded sim already? I’ve never used the cellular once and haven’t needed to due to the lockdowns and not moving around places. If nothing else works I’ll try this out thanks.

Once the 15.0.1 was installed with iTunes PC APP, the 15.0.2 via OTA fails again.

iPad get stuck in “verifying update”.

Now with one SIM inserted, the update runs.

same. I’ve never had this sort of problem before. Maybe it’s to do with the iPad models from before 2018? My mum has a 2017 10.5 pro and she’s been having the same problem too.

The SIM card thing sounds interesting. I ended up updating via macOS. But I got a 4000 error. Then I disabled my passcode and tried again and it worked!
