I need to contact technical support by chat or phone and I need to give my macbook pro serial number. I have given the correct serial number but the automatic answer is this is not correct. there are two serial numbers?. How I can contact the support guys without this option (give the serial number).

If your machine is bootable you can copy the SN right off the >About this Mac window
