How to turn OFF 'Smart HDR' on iPhone 13 pro max camera?!

I think it should be set at least like previous version that you can either enable or disable it. No one awares this even when I called to apple. That’s why you reply is nonsense.

Same problem here. Ridiculous. It makes you look zombie like once the pic is taken. Too sharp, too processed. Looks like a Google pixel 3 image. There is no on/off option.

Really helpful answer ) if something disappointing you, we should apply this to everything we have in our life till we face the moment when we doesn’t have anything around us 😂👍

I think there should be an option to turn all of this computational photography off, a mode for us who don’t like this feature but like to keep using iPhones.

These options in the link you posted only work for iPhones up to the 12, not the 13, 13 Pro or 13 Pro Max thus the reason behind the original post. This is such a disappointment for an upgrade.

ProRaw still has that horrible hdr effect. And third party isnt as sharp and still is prcessed but in less advanced way with lost wuality

To have to use third party solutions or first take the pictures in RAW and then edit them to avoid bad results is so very far from the easy but qualitative way it used to be using Apple products.

I used to have a 1st gen iPhone SE, and in the aspect of portraits the outcome was better than with the 13 mini. This is my experience and I have noticed that many other users noticed this flaw too.

I know what I see and the extreme over sharpness combined with smudged parts and the orange/red tones does not seem to be the intention from Apple. Something is wrong here and they should fix it.

Good point. I think we are many users enough disliking this forced way of taking photos ”new Apple style”. I like the old Apple style where quality and options was the case.
