I love the Finder's Quick Actions > Create PDF feature and I use it all the time, but why doesn't it put the pages in order by filename? It often puts the last page first and then the rest of them in order.
Is this a bug that can be fixed? Apple checks these discussions for feature requests right? Or should I submit this request somewhere else?
What order are you seeing?
In a few tests, I get the order depends on how I select the files.
For example, select file A.pdf, then command-click to add B.pdf, then click Create PDF and I get the pages from A, in order, then the pages from B.
If, however, I select B and then command-click to add A, I get B pages first, then A.
It all seems to make sense to me...

It is more likely that it wasn't programmed to have any order since the user has no control over how it flows through the workflow. However, Quick Look started working in reverse order a few OSes ago, so they might have picked some ordering.

For me, the Create PDF Quick Action adds the items in the order they are selected when using macOS 11.6.
