I am using iphone 11 Pro and ios 14.8. I am connected to wifi (according to settings), but the wifi icon does not show. I show only LTE. I have tried turning phone off, then back on, turning Wifi off and back on. Problem continues. What is the solution?

You won’t believe what the fix was! All I had to do was disable VPN’s. Everything went back to normal. (…through chat support at Apple.)

I just turned off cellular, then turned off wifi, then turned wifi back on. It showed the wifi icon for a split second, then it went away.
What settings are showing that you are on WiFi, can you post a screenshot?
Try a forced restart.
• Press and quickly release the volume up button
• Press and quickly release the volume down button
• Press and hold the side button.
• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

I tried the forced restart. It is still showing only the LTE next to the battery icon, even though I am in my home and the settings say that I am on wifi. I chatted with apple support last evening, and she had me to update to 15.0.1. She thought that might solve the problem, but it didn't.
Actually, when I turn off cellular, the wifi is not on, even though in settings, it says it is. All other devices on the same wifi are working. Just my phone is not picking up the wifi.
