Beep sound when pressing "mute" during a call

Exceptionally bad choice. How to I roll back to prior iOS? I did not have this problem before.

Sorry I don't have the answer but wondering the same. My work colleagues are going to drop me from our calls if they can hear the beep every time I mute/unmute.

The beep when you press mute has to go. Very annoying.

This is absolute STUPIDITY. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW THEY ARE MUTED.

FIX THIS.

No one has the RIGHT to KNOW they are being muted. Muting a CALL is the private right of EVERYONE without any knowledge to the other.

What were you all thinking? Someone should be fired for this.

I just upgraded to the new iPhone 13 and when I call people now I had no clue what this beeping sound was. I thought I broken my phone until I saw this. It gives me a headache and is really annoying.

Is it really not possible in iOS15 to disable the notification sound when muting? Come on, Apple. You can do better.

that annoying disruptive beep sound when using mute should be a simple fix :with the option of turning it off in settings please Apple do this in a software update soon!

This response is everything. It's too early in the morning to be laughing like this. It's not even meant to be funny.

It's actually one of my favorite new features - it lets you know mute was actually engaged or disengaged without having to check the state of the screen button.

Agreed - PLEASE let us disable this terrible mute/unmute beep!

Can you tell us what Apple was thinking with this poor design choice? Was anyone thinking?
