Hi CharisZamb,

Thanks for contacting the Apple Support Communities today. We understand you're having issues with songs stopping or changing automatically when running with your AirPods in, and we'd be happy to look into what's going on.

To get started, does this issue only occur while running outdoors? If so, and if you're using AirPods (1st or 2nd generation), what do you have the double-tap action set to in Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods Name > Information button? If set to Next Track or Play/Pause, try setting it to Off and see if the issue continues.

CharisZamb,

Got it, thanks! Great job on all the troubleshooting you've tried beforehand.

Based on the information you've provided, steps you've gone through, and because the issue is occurring when paired to multiple devices, it is possible that the issue may be hardware related.

If this is the case, we would recommend having your AirPods inspected further and possibly serviced. For help with finding nearby service locations in your area, check out this link here: Find Locations - Apple

Have a great day.
