Deleting Inbox mail

Thanks so much. Since this email is coming from another account, check that account from a web browser and see if this email shows there and reappears. If everything looks normal on the account itself, make sure your iPhone is running iOS 15.0.1. If it’s not, back up and update using the steps here:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue continues, it may help if you remove the account and add it back. To do this, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. Tap the email account that you want to remove and tap Delete Account. Restart your iPhone and add the account back.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having an issue with a certain email appearing in Trash. To verify, what are you expecting to happen? Do you want to empty the trash completely but this email still shows? Is this email from iCloud or a different account? Does restarting have any impact on this?
