I deleted my old ID, forgot to sign out of my old Apple ID from my iPhone, and can't sign out now. I called support to get help and they said that there is nothing that they can do. When should we expect a fix to this bug in the system?

If it’s iCloud Find My preventing you from signing out you need to submit proof of ownership, like the receipt from buying the iPhone brand new yourself and to “Start an Activation Lock support request.” from https://al-support.apple.com/#/kbase

We’re just users here so we couldn’t say why. It doesn’t matter what other companies do or don’t do as it is Apple’s procedure and they give you clear steps to follow so it’s user error and self inflicted frustrations for not following it.

Maybe it is not a bug, but it is an issue that other people have as well. Why do we need to sign out beforehand? If the account is truly deleted, shouldn't it sign itself out? What other services have accounts that remain signed in after they have been deleted.
