After unpairing Bluetooth ringtone silent

Hello Community

I have a problem with the iPhone XR. I always have the ringtone set to very loud. Bluetooth is permanently enabled so my iPhone automatically pairs with my car. When I get calls, the ringing can be heard through the car speaker. However, when I leave my car, the Bluetooth connection is disconnected and my ringtone volume is suddenly very low. So I have to manually set the volume back to maximum. This happens every time and I haven't found a solution yet.

Maybe you can help.

Thanks in advance.

Many greetings, Willy

iPhone XR

Hello Willy,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

We understand that when you take your phone out of your car and the Bluetooth disconnects, the ringer volume on your iPhone resets to a very low level. Is this the only Bluetooth connection that affects your phone in this way? Or does disconnecting other Bluetooth devices have the same affect?

When you navigate to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, do you have 'Change with Buttons' turned on or off? Does it make a difference if it's on or off, or does the same behavior remain?

If you're using an iPhone X or later, please check to see if 'Attention Aware Features' is enabled, which lowers the volume of alerts: About Attention Aware features on your iPhone X or iPad Pro - Apple Support.

If you restart your device as normal, is there improvement to this issue: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support.

Best regards.
