I have been trying to figure out why my old 2018 MacBook does not support view in preview .NEF files captured by Nikon Zfc camera. Called Apple to no avail. Can any experts in the field help solve this mystery, please?

The Nikon Z fc is not a supported camera. You would have to open its RAW images in an app that supports it such as Affinity Photo or convert them to dng files with Adobe DNG Converter.

Nikon Zfc .NEF files are not supported in preview in Macbook Pro 13 2018 with BigSur. Can someone here help?
