Trouble editing live pictures

When wanting to edit a picture it doesn’t follow the path shown.

I can select picture, then top right touch edit. What it does then is take me to the editing suite. This doesn’t have the bar to slide the frame across the various sections of the selected picture but the options for cropping etc This occurs on both my iPhone12 and iPads

ios 15 makes it totally impossible to turn off live photos on ipad It is literally impossible to turn off Live Photos in edit on iPad thanks to iOS 15 and it’s intrusive split-screen “feature”. You absolutely cannot push this live button in any way, no matter what. Pathetic…
