If i purchase an iPhone through a amazon/Flipkart and the seller sents a defective or refurbished item. They ask us to get in touch with Apple store for any resolution/replacement. In any such case does apple store actually help or provide a replacement?
If they are an authorized reseller and it is a brand new device, you have a 1 year warranty through Apple.
If it is a refurbished device that was not refurbished and sold by Apple, you have no warranty through Apple.
If they are an authorized reseller and it is a brand new device, you have a 1 year warranty through Apple.

In the US and most other countries, Amazon is not an authorized distributor of iPhones. Flipkart definitely isn't.
If you buy something from them, you're buying used product.
It may or may not be covered by warranty. The warranty may well be expired, or the device may have been altered/tampered with, voiding the warranty.
Since Flipkart is NOT an Apple Authorized Seller, they could not possibly sell you a refurbished phone which was refurbished by Apple. Amazon has excellent return policies. If you are not happy (I certainly wouldn't be), start the return process with Amazon.
If you want to buy an Apple Refurbished device which is actually refurbished by Apple and warranted by Apple, you should buy one for Apple.
