Unread Message Count in Mail
The unread messgae count in Mail is wrong and won't update

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand Mail is displaying an unread count that does not match the mailbox you are currently viewing.
It is possible there are unread messages in other mailboxes within Mail. The resource below may help you locate these mailboxes in the Mail sidebar and mark them as read.
